Looking for the events and activities coming up on the Outer Banks? Every Friday, Miss Kitty is going to bring you the happening events for the next week.

Saturday on the Outer Banks:

Celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks galore! Please be safe and buckle up. Designate a sober driver. Enjoy the fireworks and have a great 4th of July!

Annual Independence Day Fireworks will be held throughout Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head. Visit Outer Banks Visitor’s Bureau for more information.

In Corolla, celebrate Independence Day with the 17th Annual Corolla Festival of Fireworks at the Currituck Heritage Park. Beginning at 6 pm, enjoy food, fun, and entertainment for the entire family. Fireworks will begin at dusk overlooking the Currituck Sound. Bring blankets or beach chairs and enjoy the best fireworks display on the Outer Banks! Admission is free. Fireworks with the NCSA is located in the Outdoor Pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park beginning at 8 pm. This event Features fireworks and a performance by the North Carolina School of the Arts. Contact RIFP at 252-475-1500 or roanokeisland.com.

Enjoy a night of theater with The Lost Colony at Waterside Theater on Roanoke Island. The performance begins at 8 pm. After the show, enjoy a backstage tour of Waterside Theater. For tickets or more information, call 252-473-2127 or visit The Lost Colony.

You could head on over to Jolly Roger where Michelle Sanchez will be hosting the ‘Alan Ross Karaoke Roadshow’ from 9 pm to 1 am. Parmalee will be rocking the house over at Outer Banks Brewing Station (yeah, that’s the restaurant beneath the wind turbine on the big road). Or go see Snack Bar Jones playing at Kelly’s Restaurant and Tavern.

Sunday on the Outer Banks:

Sunday brings Backyard Party from 2 to 5 pm and Sushi Open Mic Night at Outer Banks Brewing Station; Larry Czernik will be hosting the ‘Alan Ross Karaoke Roadshow’ from 9 pm to 1 am at Jolly Roger and Kelly’s Restaurant and Tavern have Snack Bar Jones rocking it out.

Monday on the Outer Banks:

If you’re into flying kites, don’t miss out on the Fun Fly Festival at Currituck Heritage Park from 10 am – 11 am at Whalehead Club at Currituck Heritage Park, Corolla. Contact (252) 453-9040 or http://www.flyingsmileskites.com for more information.

Tuesday on the Outer Banks:

Children’s Knight Magic Camps will be at Whalehead Club, located in Corolla. Children will have the opportunity to explore the history of magic & learn a few tricks from Clive Allen, world traveled magician. Camp is appropriate for children ages 5 and above and cost is $15 per child. Enjoy some local music with Duck’s Summer Music Series at the Duck Town Stage. Concerts begin at 6 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This popular evening concert series returns for its 3rd season. Ladies, head over to Outer Banks Brewing Station for Ladies Night hosted by DJ Piper of Beach 104 and kick off your dancing to get down with some great top 40 and dance hits.

Thursday on the Outer Banks:

Audience members are put on the stage and hypnotized by this world-famous hypnotist and perform as they never would otherwise. Show begins at 7:30 pm. Alan Ross will be at the Jolly Roger, located at MP 7 on the Beach Road (that’s NC 12), with the ‘Alan Ross Karaoke Roadshow’ from 9 pm to 1 am. Be sure to send a shout-out to Miss Kitty if you swing by to sing a little song. DJ Bose Heartbreaker’s Ball (dress up in your prom attire for this one!) will be flaming up the house over at Outer Banks Brewing Station.  Put your dancing shoes to good use with Butter over at Kelly’s Restaurant and Tavern, MP 10.5 on the big road (also called the bypass).
